Kim McCarty

Kim McCarty, WVU Regional Recruiter for Pittsburgh and western Pennsylvania Education:
B.S., Indiana University of Pennsylvania;
M.B.A., Seton Hill University

Hometown: Latrobe, PA

Favorite thing about WVU: The people! WVU has a wonderful and diverse community of people always willing to help in anyway.

Favorite thing about this job: I love assisting prospective students and families with the college search process. This is a very important time for students and families, and I feel very honored to be a part of their experience as they make important life decisions.

Advice for students when selecting a college: Use the tools that are provided for students today to do early research and narrow your choices early. I also feel that the campus visit is a very important part of the process. Campus visits provide students with a wonderful opportunity to ask questions of current students, and to get a true feel for the campus environment.

When not working, I'm most likely : Walking my dog, Harley, or spending time listening to music and watching movies with my husband, Dan.
