Ryan Boyd

Ryan Boyd, WVU Admissions Counselor

Education: Regents Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia University

Hometown: Standard, WV

Favorite thing about WVU: The"PRIDE" and "LOYALTY" that is shown for this university by not only Students, Faculty, Staff, and Alumni, but by the entire State of West Virginia. Also, WVU has the programs and resources of a large University with that small town college feel - not to mention the fact that we take you in and embrace you as one of our own. "Once a Mountaineer - Always a Mountaineer!"

Favorite thing about this job: Traveling around this beautiful state visiting with potential students and parents sharing with them what WVU has to offer them.

Advice for students when selecting a college: Look at what you want to get out of your college experience and find a school that offers that experience. Make sure to visit a college/university - talk to students, faculty, staff, and alumni to learn as much as you can about that institution.

When not working, I'm most likely: Working with the "Pride of West Virginia", the Mountaineer Marching Band. Traveling. Hanging out with friends. Going to movies.
