APPLICATIONS
We're glad you're interested
in West Virginia University! There are two ways you
can apply for admission to WVU: online or using the
traditional paper application. Once your application
is complete, we will review your file to determine if
you are eligible for admission. Review of applications
for fall entry will begin in late September of the previous
year.
The average student admitted
to WVU's fall 2007 Freshmen class had a 3.30 high school
grade point average, a composite ACT score of 23.5, and/or a combined Math and Critical Reading SAT score of 1061. You can view detailed information about our

Instructions for HEALTH SCIENCES
CENTER APPLICANTS
Admission to the undergraduate and professional programs at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center
requires a separate application process. Specific entrance requirements may be viewed by following the links to the desired program from http://www.hsc.wvu.edu/. Applications to the programs below are the only ones available for downloading. Please note the application period for each. Deadlines listed are for receipt of application, transcripts, and all required materials.

Our forms are stored in Adobe's portable document format
(PDF). To view and print them, you will need Adobe's
Acrobat Reader. This requires a minimum of Acrobat Reader
3.0.
Just click on the program name for the file you need
to download. Some browsers will automatically open the
file for you, but others will ask you to save it on
your computer, in which case you'll have to open it
in the Acrobat Reader yourself.
DENTAL HYGIENE - Students may submit their application for FALL admission
from September 1 through March 1. Students wishing consideration
for Spring admission must obtain special permission
from Dr. Marcia Stewart. She can be reached via phone

DENTAL
HYGIENE DEGREE COMPLETION - Students may apply for
FALL, SPRING, or SUM admission on a rolling
basis.
NURSING
- (BASIC BSN) - Students may apply for FALL admission
between November 6 and February 1.
High school students need to apply with the WVU undergraduate admission application.
NURSING
- RN to BSN - May apply for FALL by July 1; SPRING
by December 1; SUM by April 15.
NURSING
- RN to MSN - May apply for FALL by July 1; SPRING
by December 1; SUM by April 15.
NURSING
- BA/BS to BSN (FAST TRACK) - Students may apply
for SUM admission between September 1 and November
30.
NON-DEGREE NURSING - (undergraduate only) For students
who are not degree seeking. Students may apply for FALL,
SPRING, SUM 1 or SUM 2 admission on a rolling basis.
MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE - Students may apply for FALL admission through July 1, 2009.
High school students need to apply with the WVU undergraduate admission application.
PATHOLOGISTS’ ASSISTANT (Master of Health Science) - Students may apply for SPRING TERM admission between June 1 and September 1.
