How are MVDs different from campus tours?
The Mountaineer Visitation Day (MVD) is an open house program designed to meet your specific needs. As our guest for the day, you and your family will tour the campus and meet faculty and staff to learn more about admission requirements, courses of study, cost of attendance, financial aid, scholarships, housing, student organizations, and other important information. These days allow students to get a more in-depth look at campus. Attendees may bring their completed applications for admission and have them evaluated for an admissions decision. Students will also receive a stylish WVU t-shirt.

The Visitors Resource Center provides an experience unlike any others. We combine cutting-edge video and digital technology with traditional West Virginia hospitality to create a sense of how the University can start you on your path to greatness. A campus tour is part of the experience, and admissions counselors will meet with you to discuss admission requirements, costs, and more. These tours typically last two hours.
