The New Student Orientation staff assists new students in making a smooth transition to West Virginia University. We want to ensure a positive first year experience at WVU.

First, the office organizes Mountaineer Visitation Days for prospective students and their families to tour campus and meet with WVU faculty and staff to get a true picture of WVU life.

Next, the office hosts Orientation for incoming freshman and transfer students as well as their parents or guests. Orientation is an important step in preparing for the first year at WVU. The links to the left explain both events and answers to frequently asked questions.
